Ghanaians are about to enjoy unending entertainment and educational programs—as Ghana’s self acclaimed dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah better known as Shatta Wale has hinted on opening a new television station (Shatta TV) in the country.
According to him, Shatta TV’s focus will be on the youth who look up to him [Shatta Wale] by giving them showbiz opportunities—also to teach them how to venture and succeed in Show business.
Shatta Wale who is currently out of the country also disclosed in an interview with Dr Pounds on the ‘Hitz Gallery’ show that he’s set to sign a new record deal in the United States.
“I’m opening a new station in Ghana anytime soon and the name of the station will be ‘Shatta TV’, he said.
“I think the youth needs more channels to educate and entertain them and since some of these young folks look up to me, I want to put up a forum that will teach them the benefits of doing music and also the business side of it.
“The main motive of me travelling around is to do business but not to have fun. I’m signing up a record deal in the states soon, we’ve had a couple of meetings and will soon reveal to my fans”, he added.
We guess Shatta TV is coming our way soon…
