Oscar-winner-Ben Affleck made headlines in 2014 when he was reportedly banned from playing blackjack at a Las Vegas casino – because he was too good and the casino did not like a special technique he was using.
At the time, reports said the Hollywood star was reportedly barred from the tables at the Hard Rock Hotel after security quizzed him over a winning streak—he was believed to have been memorising the cards, a technique which is legal but frowned upon.
Later that year, Ben was spotted playing blackjack at a Las Vegas casino and the 43-year-old Hollywood star was playing with $30,000 worth of chips—this time, he must have ditched the card memorising technique. And perhaps, he was using new stable techniques, some of which have been well captured as Blackjack tips from Ladbrokes UK.
Ben Affleck is a big player and though he continuously makes headlines with his playing, he is not the only celebrity blackjack lover. Diddy is another good player—in fact, he has a couple of connections to the game world.
Harrah’s Atlantic City once asked the millionaire rap star to christen a new poolside blackjack games. And he loves the game so much that he once asked to have a blackjack table in his MTV Awards dressing room.
Don’t get it wrong, it’s not only the men who love to play, Paris Hilton and Iggy Azalea are good regular players too. Earlier this year, Iggy Azalea stated that she loves blackjack and played for straight 12 hours before her epic Billboard Music Awards’ performance.
“I just like to play blackjack, I played blackjack for twelve hours straight yesterday. I changed clothes in the bathrooms. I’m awful,” she told Extra’s Renee Bargh.
That’s interesting—12 hours of playing, followed by a great performance. We wonder how much she won—we bet she plays big and therefore wins big.
