Lil Wayne Alleges Birdman Cheated Not Just Him: But His Other Young Money Artists Like Nicki Minaj, Drake And Tyga

As time goes on, the feeling is that this family is fractured for good and there would be no rainbows at the end of the road.

Lil Wayne is fighting Birdman in court, in order to get a termination of his Cash Money contract. He claims Birdman has reneged on their contract by holding up payments due him, whilst making it impossible for his to release his Carter V album.

In a new twist, new court documents obtained shows Lil Wayne is claiming he is not the only one being handed the short end of the stick by Birdman.

Weezy claims other Young Money artistes such as Tyga, Nicki Minaj, and Drake have all received this kind of treatment from Birdman. Weezy seeks to show that ripping off others is a characteristic of Birdman.

According to TMZ, “Young Money claims it was supposed to get a big chunk of a $100 million advance from Universal — an advance that went directly to Cash Money — and they’re still waiting.”

Wayne also says he has letters from the aforementioned Young Money artistes, showing that they have been swindled out of fortunes by Baby and Cash Money.

Cash Money’s response is that Lil Wayne is not telling the full truth. Birdman says “they gave him a $20 million advance for Young Money in 2012, another $12 million for Wayne’s solo album and another $70 million in advances, royalties, marketing and recording costs for various Young Money artists.”

They also add that Weezy and his artistes were supposed to deliver 21 albums over 7 years, but only delivered on 13 of them.

The legal battle continues, as Wayne tries not to only extricate himself but Young Money as well from beneath Cash Money.
