Lawyer Samson Lardy Anyenini Calls On Nana Aba Anamoah To Quit TV3 And Go Work Elsewhere

Nana Aba Anamoah

There is something very peculiar about Ghanaians, I must say. We like to complain about our leaders, the rot and the corruption in high places. When the judges’ scandal came out everyone acted shocked, and rightly so.

Yet people are so willing to put Nana Aba’s wanton deception to the side and now jump on the ‘Bring back Nana Aba’ bandwagon. I could guess at what it says about Ghanaians but I think I’m tired of that.

Making her feel persecuted for the sensible decision taken by her employers just feeds into people’s erroneous perception in this country that apologising for something means you never did anything wrong in the first place.

Several celebrities have been calling for her reinstatement, and the next person to throw their lot with Nana Aba is journalist and private legal practitioner Samson Lardi Anyenini. According to the lawyer, Nana Aba should take the initiative by resigning from TV3, and not give them the option to revoke her suspension in the wake of public backlash.

He spoke on Morning Starr with Nii Arday Clegg.

“If I were her advocate, I would have advised her not to give them the time and chance to revoke that suspension because they may be minded to revoke the suspension because of the public backlash.”

According to him, she should just jump ship, take her talents to another media house.

“I would have advised her to just go ahead and jump; she should ditch them. She should go ahead and throw in her resignation and move on. And I want her to prove to her haters and also her lovers that she has value in the market and that she has some pride about her price,”

This has nothing to do with Nana Aba’s talent, just her misrepresenting herself, and her brand, on social media. Can people stop like she’s being railroaded for doing nothing? She lied, tried to cover up; and then even when apologising tried to utilise her father’s death to leverage sympathy.

That is not blameless in my book.
