Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama has donated medical equipments to Ejura and Juaso government hospitals, Ejisu Hospital and the Bomfa Achiase Health Centre in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The Lordina Foundation who had earlier on supplied the St Patrick Hospital at Offinso, Manso Nkwanta and the Mampong hospitals with medical stuffs reaffirmed their readiness to help improve health care delivery in the country.
Medical equipment such as hospital beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, breathing circuits and consumables were presented to the various hospitals.
Mrs. Lordina Mahama called on all stakeholders to join hands to support vulnerable communities, especially women and children across the country.
“As head of the Lordina Foundation, I have embarked on a journey to support hospitals and health workers with these equipment and hospital supplies to enable them to give of their best with the objective of supporting improved healthcare delivery in Ghana,” she said.
She indicated that “the medical supplies were aimed at enhancing the efforts of the government to attain universal health provision for Ghanaians and urged the health workers to lead the way in the delivery of quality and safe health services in the country.”
The mission of the Lordina Foundation is to contribute to the development of poor children and women, in both rural and urban areas, by focusing on education and healthcare. The Foundation is also opening centers for vocational and technical training for its target population to help improve their standard of living in sustainable ways.
