Two Ghanaian footballers-Christian Atsu (Everton-Bournemouth) and Andre Ayew (Marseille-Swansea) have been dominated for 2015’s FIFA Ballon d’Or.
Once again, Lionel Messi is the big favourite to lift the trophy, ahead of Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the current holder of the prize for football’s best player.
But Messi is not the old pride of Barcelona this year, the team itself dominated the list with 7 nominations.
From Barcelona are Messi, Javier Mascherano, Claudio Bravo, Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic, Neymar and Luis Suarez—these brilliant players put the other 52 players at a tight corner.
2015’s FIFA Ballon d’Or will be awarded at a gala in Zurich on January 11, 2016.
