Three Ghanaian pilgrims have been confirmed as having died in Mecca during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The Hajj board has confirmed the deaths of the pilgrims, who died in circumstances unrelated to the Mina stampede that has so far killed over 700 people.
According to the Chairman of the Hajj Board, Alhaji Rauf Tanko, one died from convulsion whilst the other two are dead from malaria.
As for the five pilgrims who went missing in the aftermath of the stampede, they have still not been found; and it’s not clear if they part of the stampede in Mina.
