Vicky Zugah recently took on Kumawood movie producers, claiming they’re unprofessional in their work and are unwilling to broaden their horizons.
Astonishingly, the push back from the famously vocal industry has been minimal, until now that is.
Kumawood film producer and CEO of Peace and Love Films, Daniel Kwadwo Sarfo, has hit back. According to him, Zugah’s utterances are arrogant and disrespectful, and that she is seeking attention to revive her dwindling career.
“If she has seen some unprofessionalism in the production of Nyankonton Films she should say so because it is very arrogant and disrespectful on her part to rubbish the entire Kumawood movie landscape,” he said, speaking on Adom Fm.
Elaborating further, he claimed Zugah has been out of prominence for a while now and is looking for a means to bounce back. He also said he’ll never feature her in any of his future movies.
“I will never feature Vicky in my movies because I don’t have room for undisciplined characters like her”
Zugah, speaking to Flex last week, claimed Kumawood movie producers were unprofessional.
“Working with some Kumawood producers, I realized that the professionalism is not there. This issue is very sensitive and I’m sorry if I’m offending someone. Kumawood movie producers feel that they are in a world of their own and are doing their own thing and so, they are not ready to learn.
“They also feel they are always right and think they’ve got the best stories, crews and cameras. I am still learning to act myself but these producers do not want to improve”
