The franchise has become one of the biggest and most successful ever, so it seems nobody is in a hurry to bring it to an end.
Recently news has been going around that Universal are yet to get a director for the next instalment in the series, ‘Fast 8’.
Diesel addressed the news on his Facebook, revealing that it is true they are yet to sign a director. He said his producing partner has been worrying him to direct it himself but he’s not so sure that’s the greatest idea.
He also revealed, that he’s promised Universal Studios to star in a trilogy to close out the series. So after Furious 7, the next three instalments would be the last.
Fast 8 is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on April 14, 2017.
