Houghton Athletic Football Club is English F.A’s Charter Standard Community Club based in Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire and at a recent event held in Luton, Nana Yaw Darko Jnr received the season’s Best Player and the Top Goal scorer awards for scoring 40 goals.

Born in UK to a Ghanaian father and Zambian mother, Nana Yaw Darko Jnr aspires to play for Ghana’s National team but it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s quickly ‘stolen’ by the English National Team—because his on pitch skills put him up there as a great player. By descent, he can also play for the Chipolopolo of Zambia.

Nana Yaw Darko Jnr was not only commended for his outstanding goal scoring prowess, his brilliant team work, both on-and-off pitch discipline were also mentioned.

Currently, Nana Yaw has joined Houghton Athletic’s Under 15 team and promises to make great impact this season. He’s looking beyond being the Top Scorer and Best Player—as he hopes to join one of the junior sides of any of England’s top football clubs.

As a striker, Nana Yaw Darko Jnr has a tough bonus physique—tall and strong and together with his master dribbling skills, he mostly finds the needed goal for his side.
