Mavin records singer, Hadiza Blell popularly known as Aphro Di’ja, says she does not dress to expose her body due to her body type.

According to Di’ja she prefers to wear clothes that cover all part of her body to avoid being mocked by people.

The singer disclosed in an interview with the New Telegraph about how she rocks her fashion style, saying;

“People make fun of me that I am slim, so I don’t like showing up a lot because if I do you will be seeing bones.

She noted that she loves flat shoes and though she wears heels sometimes, she prefers flats—because she is not always comfortable with heels.

“Flats. I am wearing heels now and I really wish I can get it off because I am not comfortable in it.”

She also had this to say about her hair style;

“If I can crash my hair I am very happy. If I can get in there anyway I am fine. Even if I wear wig, as long as I can fix something in there, I am good with that but I do more of braids.”

Di’ja released her first single “Rock Steady” in 2009 which was nominated for Best Urban/R&B Single at the 2009 Canadian Radio Music Awards. She won the Best New Artist award at the 2008 Beat Music Awards.

In May 2014, Di’Ja was featured on “Dorobucci” alongside label mates Don Jazzy, Dr SID, Tiwa Savage, D’Prince, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks after she was signed onto Mavin Records on February 14, 2014.
