Well if they were really so bothered what took them so long?
Two Jesuit Universities have revoked honorary degrees they both handed to comedian Bill Cosby in the wake of the s*xual assault scandal that’s been bogging him the past year.
Fordham and Marquette Universities both made the announcement on Thursday, with the revocation the first time either University has ever had to take that course of action.
“As a Jesuit university, Fordham could no longer stand behind the degree it had bestowed upon Mr. Cosby,” the New York City college said in a statement Thursday.
Marquette University also revealed their decision on Thursday, with President Michael Lovell saying the decision received overwhelming support from campus leaders and faculty members
Cosby originally received the honour from Fordham University in 2001 for his role in improving the way the black community was represented in television and pop culture.
