Ghanaian actress Vicky Zugah has joined the long list of industry players who have strongly criticized the quality of local movies being produced in the country.
Vicky, who launched the attack on ‘Kumawood’ movies producers in a recent interview, says they feel ‘too big’ to learn. She also commended her fellow actors who are venturing into movie making to help shape the deteriorating industry whilst producing good quality movies.
“Working with some Kumawood producers, I realized that the professionalism is not there. This issue is very sensitive and I’m sorry if I’m offending someone. Kumawood movie producers feel that they are in a world of their own and are doing their own thing and so, they are not ready to learn.
“They also feel they are always right and think they’ve got the best stories, crews and cameras. I am still learning to act myself but these producers do not want to improve,” Vicky told Flex Newspaper.
She was recently involved in a near-fatal accident after a kia-truck crashed into her vehicle whilst returning from a movie set.
Vicky has the following movies to her credit;
Tears of Womanhood, Pretty Queen, True Colours, Girls Connection, Big Girls Club, Araba Lawson, June 4th, My Dearest Princess, Cross my Heart, Total Exchange and many others.
