Hello all,
I am writing from the beautiful land of Ghana right now—where I can honestly say that I am fully enjoying beautiful people, great weather, and awesome foods.
However, I would like to say that as a dedicated follower of this site-GhanaCelebrities.Com often times I read such cruel statements and remarks about African Americans and USA as a whole.
This is not my first trip to Ghana but this time I came to Ghana with an opened eye, and I would like to share what I have seen.
First, I have totally been able to see with my own eyes gay men and lesbian women in abundance. There are even legal networks here that have TV shows which 100 percent promote homosexuality and the lesbian community—same sex kissing and making love on TV (Ghanaian movies).
I have actually seen drug dealers, prostitutes, police brutality and women who behave, and dress like the same African American women in USA that many of the followers of this site talk badly of.
I’m not at all talking bad about Ghana or Ghanaian people—all I’m saying is don’t throw rocks if u live in a glass house. America is America and has its own system.
Let America deal with America. And Ghana is Ghana and have its own system, and from the things I am seeing, Ghanaians need to totally focus on Ghana, and try to fix all here, before even thinking of bashing or talking about USA.
It seems to me that almost every woman here is trying their best to look American. With the weaves, bleaching creams, and provocative clothes.
And with all that being said, I will stop because I have so many beautiful things to do today.
I am enjoying Ghana because the only things that separate Ghanaians from Americans is the language, this land, and the little culture that is left. Because if it wasn’t for the scenario of some things I would think that I was still home in Harlem, or parts of Brooklyn because the behavior and demeanor of the people are totally the same.
Welcome to Ghana a land of hypocrites who have lesbians and gays in their movies and everywhere but come online to crucify those who do not even live in their territories
Akosua, you do know that what you’re saying is invalid as you’re deliberately passing judgment onto a whole nation. And what does the article have anything to do with homosexuals?
I and some people have clearly read your past posts about how proud you are that you’re attracted to the same sex. If you do not agree with what Ghanaians see as wrong then why don’t you simply pack your things and move to a country that is opened for homosexuals.
Can someone tell me the point of this nonsense?
There’s no point. This article is nothing but nonsense written by a person who thinks that she knows but doesn’t.
And this article is dumb. Who is she to think that every Ghanaian wants to be American?
I’m Ghanaian living in America and I most certainly do not wish to be American. I’m proud of my culture, language and tribe and do not are the point in trying to be something that I am not.
What is difficult to understand about this article that you people are playing dumb? Are you people being real or it’s just the usual Ghanaians not wanting to be told the truth about themselves?
Lol
If we are dumb, you must be the dumbest to sense anything out of this nonsense. Don’t let any foolish fool tell you that wearing of weaves, bleaching, and provocative dressing is an American invention. As a matter of fact, Americans won’t be happy with this stupid tagging. The ONLY reason why GC dumped this trash here is because of the gay part. Oh I hope you saw the banana she bought too. Can you relate that to the article?
This is the dumbest sh*t I read here in a while! If indeed she is American, I am not surprised. You just woke up and said ok today let me get attention from these black people by writing an ‘intellectual’ article about them. Guess what you got the attention. Good job but sorry to announce to you this is dumb! This is an example of why Americans are no longer the only super power because this generation of Americans are always high on something and having s*x every minute so they dont even have the time to think logically beyond their….anyway enough said. We are not idiots over here.

Exactly. I don’t know why I should fancy my fellow woman when I have all the ingredients they have. SMH
I don’t understand her sometimes.
Madam Anita we all can’t like one soup that’s why some people like palm nut and others like light soup. If you like men stay in your lane and leave the lesbians to their lane.
Well I certainly will, because I don’t see myself joining that Disgusting lane, or whatever soup it calls itself. Imagine a woman being sad because another woman like her broke her heart. AH, KAE .
So because you don’t agree with her personal life she should leave Ghana? This is why our country is not progressing. Our politicians are so corrupt that we don’t even have electricity in this day and age but in your opinion every woman who doesn’t like d!Ck should leave Gh not the corrupt politicians, crook pastors etc. So sad
What I do not understand is her always complaining about Ghanaians not being accepting of homosexuals. You might as well move out as I doubt it’s going to change with the complaints. If a society in another part of the world is willing to put up with it, why not as well move there to avoid negativism and conflict with people who do not accept homosexuals. It’s so simple but certain people refuse to accept that and would rather drag the matter in the mud with no resolution coming out of it.
You live in a society where gays and lesbians are beaten and even killed frequently & it’s illegal to be gay. And someone complains & your reply is that if she wants she should leave her homeland? Wow. I pray that all of you don’t wind up with gay kids so you never have to feel the pain of your child being discriminated against just for who they love. Very very sad
I see nothing wrong with what I have said as people do leave their homeland when they’re threatened with persecution.
