It was just a short while ago that the Presidential press corps, who normally travel with the President were involved in an accident that left one of their number dead. Samuel Nuamah, who was laid to rest today.
And barely a month later we are hearing the President was involved in an accident. Whatever is wrong needs to be looked at, we are too laissez faire in responding to problems in this country.
The President was reportedly returning from an event in Cape Coast this afternoon (Thursday), when his convoy was involved in an accident.
Reports indicate a car in the convoy rammed into a Chrysler belonging to a private citizen. There were no casualties.
Details are sketchy so far but the President and his family are said to be safe.
President Mahama was returning from the official commissioning of the first of 200 schools the government has promised to build.
