NBC needed an equally captivating host, and they seem to have solved it. The network announced on Monday (September 14) that actor cum politician Arnold Schwarzenegger would be taking over the reins of the show for the 2016/2017 season.

The information was contained in a press release.

“Schwarzenegger served two terms as governor of California, managing more than 300,000 state employees and a state budget in the hundreds of billions,” the press release said.

“He has successfully invested in both real estate and sports franchises, and is known to millions globally for his starring role in the Terminator film franchise. His films, over a six-decade career, have grossed billions of dollars in worldwide box office.”

The Celebrity Apprentice is an American television reality game show, with sees celebrities of varying shades competing to win money for a charitable organisation of their choice.
