These judges won’t make it an easy ride for anyone, including the Chief Justice—and it seems the granted immunity from prosecution and civil action only protect Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his team, but it does not protect their findings from being declared unlawful—for disciplinary and other related purposes.
So Justice Paul Uuter Dery, one of 12 High Court judges captured on video allegedly receiving bribes from Anas and his team posing as family and friends of suspects and litigants has sued at the Fast Track division of the High Court.
The judge in his writ is seeking a total of 17 reliefs, including, “A declaration that the 1st Defendant (Tiger Eye PI) obtained the contents of the audio-visual recording unlawfully.”
If this is declared as so; then it cannot be used lawfully to impeach him—and the other judges. Currently, there are talks of impeachment and it seems, Justice Paul Uuter Dery is quickly trying to seal the hole…
it’s getting interesting…
