Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie says he is not bothered by the negative remarks that critics may pass about him; and he believes concentrating on the positives will always keep him going.
The rapper admitted that a nugget of advice passed onto him by Mr. Kwame Nsiah Apau, popularly known as Okyeame Kwame, contributed greatly towards making him a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
“Okyeame Kwame once told me that almost 80% of individuals in every household like me and listen to my music religiously so why should I concentrate on the 20% who don’t like me?,” he said in an interview with Bela Mundi.
Explaining further, he added that concentrating on the minority will be a great disrespect to the majority of his fans and followers who passionately love his art and might also let him lose focus.”
Sarkodie will unleash his third album ‘Mary’, which is said to be dedicated to his grand mum today [Saturday] September 12, 2015 with an autograph signing at the West Hills Mall in Accra.
