Venus and Serena Williams would lock horns in the quarter finals of the US Open on Tuesday as they both battle to win 2015′ s final grand slam.
Serena is on a relentless march for the calendar slam, a feat which has not been achieved since Steffi Graff did it in 1988. Venus, who has significantly slowed down in the past decade, would be hoping to win her first singles grand slam since the 2008 British Open.
The pair last met in the fourth round of Wimbledon, which Serena won comfortably. Serena has won most of their duels in recent years as Venus advances more in years.
In their fourth round duels, Venus beat Estonian teenager Anett Kontaveit 6-2 6-1. Serena, who played later, also dismissed her opponent easily, beating fellow American Madison Keys 6-3 6-3.
The pair lock horns on Arthur Ashe court Tuesday.
