Paul Okoye of P-Square fame couldn’t contain his tears while performing on stage at Washington DC in the United States.

The singer disclosed that their hit song “Onyinye” was the most cherished song by their late mother, and that makes him recall the love she shared with them before her untimely demise.

“Sometimes I cry on stage, especially when singing beautiful Onyinye, our late mum’s favorite song ….I know she’s watching with our dad miss u guys…DC 1 luv,” he posted on social media.

That’s very emotional!

Mother of Peter and Paul Okoye, Mrs. Josephine Okoye died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, five hours after she successfully underwent heart surgery at the Apollo Hospital in India.

Sadly for the Nigerian music duo, their dad also passed away on Monday, November 24 2014, merely two years after the demise of their mother.

Mrs. Josephine was a church minister in Jos, Plateau State in Nigeria.
