The Black Meteors of Ghana opened up their campaign at the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo with a drab goalless draw against Senegal in Brazzaville.
Entering as favourites due to being defending champions, the Meteors fielded a very attacking line up but failed to take control, with the Senegalese having the better chances overall.
Neither team could take their chances though, ending the game in a stalemate and rendering each sides next game a must win.
On Wednesday, the Meteors would take on Nigeria in their second group game as they attempt to defend their title.
Group A, comprising of hosts Congo, Zimbabwe, Sudan, and Burkina Faso, commence hostilities later on Monday.
