Mel Gibson was recently in Australia and had to deal with a disturbing allegation of assault from an Australian  paparazzo.

The woman alleged the actor spat on her and pushed her in the back during their altercation, but police found no evidence of it.

Gibson has thus been cleared and his attorney called the allegations ‘a complete fabrication’

According to TMZ:

“Mel Gibson did NOT rumble down under with a female photographer … according to his attorney, who says cops have concluded the whole thing was BS.

Gibson’s lawyer, Christopher Murphy, tells TMZ … police investigated the claim made by the photog — that Mel had shoved her in the back and spit on her during a tirade last week — and found no evidence to support her story.

Murphy says police spoke with witnesses in the Sydney suburb where the incident allegedly went down, and also reviewed security camera footage.

Mel had denied any wrongdoing from the get-go, and Murphy says this proves … “The story is a complete fabrication of the truth as stated previously.”
