This man must have been one lucky son of a B—not for the fact that he was banging Ghanaian Boxer-Joshua ‘Hitter’ Clottey’s girlfriend but for the fact that, the boxer did land his face with one of his many deadly punches…
For most men, this is a breakdown situation; catching your woman in bed with another will get you mad—that is if you don’t even up ‘killing’ both of them.
Former IBF Welterweight World Champion, Joshua ‘Hitter’ Clottey has shockingly revealed that he once caught his girlfriend in bed with another man—and this happened just a week to his bout against Jose Luis Cruz in the US in 2008.
Per HappyGhana.Com, this incident caused the boxer a torrid time as he was unable to sleep throughout the period before the bout which he won anyway.
The boxer said; “I have an experience in relation to this Afriyie Acquah saga. I remember while in the US preparing for my final IBF eliminator before the title fight with Zab Judah, I had the same problem.”
He added: “I caught my girlfriend doing a stupid thing. I followed her secretly in the cold alone with a hood on my head until I caught her and I was to fight the following week. Though I was troubled, I went into the bout and won. I don’t think that because I saw my girlfriend with another guy, I shouldn’t eat or train. The only thing I wasn’t able to do was to sleep. But there was no way I could abandon my job because of what happened.”
We hope this really happened and not that he is looking for another reason for his defeat—because we know him for his defeat stories…
This is the same Joshua Clottey who lost an uneventful 12-round decision on 13th March, 2010 to Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, and gave his explanation as to why he lost the fight to the Filipino boxing icon as having eaten Banku and Okro.
Following the defeat, Clottey said in an interview that he believes his lost to Pacquiao, was partly due to having multiple stomach aches and diarrhea after consuming Banku and Okro stew hours before his fight with Pacquiao.
