You remember Ashley Madison, the site for cheating spouses that was hacked, revealing the details of over 37 million cheating spouses; its CEO has resigned in the wake of the scandal.
And he’s not resigning just for the fact that the company’s security was breached, oh no! It turns out the man who brought the dreams of millions of bored spouses into reality was patronising the site himself.
Talk about being caught with your hand in the cookie jar.
According to Mail Online:
“The boss of adultery website Ashley Madison has quit after it was hit by hackers and his own alleged affairs were exposed.
Noel Biderman stepped down yesterday as chief executive of the business, which bills itself ‘the most famous name in infidelity and married dating’.
The married Canadian businessman’s departure was said to be by ‘mutual agreement’ with parent company Avid Life Media. It follows an attack by hackers who leaked the site’s global membership list of 32 million people online along with alleged revelations about Mr Biderman’s love life.
Despite claiming to have been faithful to his wife of 11 years, Amanda, the data claimed the 44-year-old had affairs with at least three women.
In one case, Biderman and a Toronto woman were said to have been in contact for more than two years and often discussed meeting at hotels and coffee shops.
Another was a student with a boyfriend identified as ‘Melisa from the spa’. The businessman is said to have written that he would reimburse her cab fare and was ‘fantasizing about later this evening’.
Avid Life said it was ‘in the best interest of the company’. It also said it was ‘adjusting’ to the hack but will continue to allow members ‘uninterrupted access’ to the website.”
