After the first news broke and people just could not find a way to digest it, it seems we have a mini pandemic on hand.

According to new reports, a lady from Tema is the latest suspected to have left the country to join ISIS. According to National Security operatives, the lady, identified as Shakira Mohammed, hails from the Northern parts of the country.

National Security Coordinator, Yaw Donkor, briefed the media yesterday.

“There is no reason to fear. The ISIS recruitment could go up instead of coming down but currently the number of those who have joined them is only a handful,”

According to him, the threat is currently outward, so we should not be too worried.

“The current direction is outward. It is only when they are returning that we should worry.”

According to him, the outfit is monitoring tertiary institutions to try and ferret out attempts to recruit more people for the deadly terrorist group.

We need to wake up and stop being ostriches.
