We know too little science in this country. At this point there’s no excuse, when we’re living in the greatest age of information in the history of man.

Carl Sagan wrote and starred in the first docu-series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. The series, which tackles the history of the cosmos and man in a way that appealed to even the layman, was successful and inspired the latest reboot by one of Sagan’s protégés, Neil Degraase Tyson.

New information indicates Warner Bros are working on a movie based on the life of the great scientist. According to Variety, Lynda Obst and Ann Druyan are producing the film, which will be written by “Deadfall” scripter Zach Dean. Plot details are currently under wraps.

Druyan, who was married to Sagan from 1981 to his death in 1996, produced and wrote 2014’s “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” for which she won an Emmy for non-fiction writing. She was also an executive producer on “Contact.”

This should be a fun movie to look forward to.
