The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) would hold their flagship awards on the night of October 3, to honour the best in Ghana sports.
The event, slated for the Banquet Hall at the State House, would be the first to be held under the auspices of newly appointed President, the veteran Kwabena Yeboah.
Competing for the Footballer of the Year Award are three of the Black Stars top dogs; captain Asamoah Gyan, his deputy Andre Ayew, and defender Harrison Afful.

Akolya Pattel – Contribution to the development and promotion of cricket in Ghana.
