Cristiano Ronaldo Buys New York City Trump Towers Apartment For $18.5m

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo might be making the most long term move in football history, buying a condo in New York when he still has three years left on his Real Madrid contract.

And considering he’s nowhere near tired with playing at the top level, he might be setting up a move to MLS in three years time with this purchase.

The New York Post reports the Real Madrid soccer superstar paid $18.5 million for a 2,509 square foot loft in the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. The deal was completed last Wednesday, making the 30-year-old Portuguese soccer star officially a New Yorker.

The loft was the property of Italian real-estate mogul Alessandro Proto, who happens to be a partner of Donald Trump, the real estate mogul and current Presidential candidate contender for the Republican Party.

Interesting to speculate on what Ronaldo’s plans for the condo might be…
