Kwesi Nyantakyi Wins GFA Presidency Unopposed

GFA President-Kwesi Nyantakyi

The President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been retained to his position after he was selected unopposed to continue as the head of Ghana Football for the next four years.

97 out of the 123 delegates present at the congress in Tamale affirmed the choice of Nyantakyi, giving him his third successive run as FA top boss.

Nyantakyi’s tenure, which began in 2005 has been very helpful to the Black Stars. Ghana first qualified to the world cup under his tenure, whilst we’ve achieved two subsequent qualifications since. The U-20 side also won Africa’s first ever world cup at that level.

Critics point to his shabby running of the local league, which is falling deeper and deeper into mediocrity as the years go by. Also the Black Queens performances have dropped off considerably under his tenure.
