Ghanaian Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered a robbery attack last night at their Tadoma Hotel base in Achimota ahead of their clash with rivals Accra Hearts of Oak this afternoon.
According to a Club source, rooms of players and several officials were ransacked by the armed men. It added that some players were beaten in the process.

Team officials tell Joy Sports that players and officials were woken up by robbers, while General Manager Opoku Nti and Operations Manager George Kennedy were tied.
An official said “systematic stealing took place and the robbers had machetes, knives and other weapons.”
They made away with an unclear amount cash and other valuables.However, information says the team have decided to go ahead with the much-awaited clash with Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadiumwhich kicks off at 3:30pm.
The team’s official Twitter account said: “It’s an unfortunate incident but our players & technical team are unfazed by this and are working in earnest for the big game.”
