Currently, relations between Birdman and his protégé Lil Weezy are at an all time low, after the ‘Mirror’ rapper sued his surrogate dad for $51m.
Since then things have gotten tenser instead of better, and Birdman opened up about the situation for the first time. According to the Cash Money CEO, the way the entire thing has unfolded has been pretty traumatic to him.
“That was shocking to everybody. You never thought Mula would be saying nothing negative about me ever, in no lifetime,” he said, according to Billboard.
“I never thought that could ever happen — for that man to open his mouth and say something negative about me… that was a lot. Sh*t f**ked my day up. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life.”
However, regardless of how everything turns out, Birdman also said Nicki Minaj and Drake would remain with Cash Money Records.
“Nicki [Minaj] and Drake ain’t going nowhere regardless.” The Cash Money boss added emphatically.
