Majority of Ghanaian artistes are CHEAP—they never want to pay for publicity so they turn to disgraceful tactics to promote their materials.
Even Jay-Z, Madonna, Beyonce, Eminem and the others pay for their songs and videos to be publicized—on TV and on the blogs. There is nothing wrong with throwing in some money to make some money or to gain publicity.
Sarkodie’s new song with Ace Hood ‘New Guy’—which the American rapper has failed to even send out a single tweet about is pushing Ghana’s top rapper to do certain unworthy things.
Because reality has hit Sarkodie that he cannot reach the America audience due to Ace Hood’s failure to talk about the song, he has turned to SPAMMING the official facebook page of BET Awards to promote the song.
It’s deeply annoying when you post something on social media and instead of people using the comment box option to discuss whatever has been posted, they post links of unrelated issues—this is exactly what Sarkodie or someone from his team did on BET Awards’ page.
Using Sarkodie’s certified facebook account, Sarkodie or whoever is in charge of the handling of the page went under a fashion post made by BET Awards and spammed that post with Sarkodie’s New Guy video—pretty much a disrespect to BET Awards and Sarkodie himself.
Spamming is just not annoying but also a crime in most jurisdictions…
It would have been different if one of Sarkodie’s fans posted the link but the fact that the post came from his official facebook page indicates that home boy is desperate to reach the America market…
You wouldn’t catch any established artiste spamming the social media pages of BET, Grammy or any of the other awards’ organizers with their new videos or songs. That is disrespectful—and a cheap way to look for publicity.
It’s obvious Sarkodie needs the publicity, so he should just pay for it—and he should forget that America market because they are not interested!
Everyone hates SPAM including us…
