Minority Leader Wins Emphatically in Suame Primaries

Published by

I thought it would be a tough race but at the end of the day it was pretty much a walkover for Minority Leader Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. He won the NPP primary at Suame constituency rather emphatically.

The self-proclaimed Lionel Messi of Suame polled 283 votes to beat competitors Kwadwo Boateng Genfi (89), John Darko (66) and Richard Soadwa (54).

During the race Mr. Kyei Mensah-Bonsu was criticized by other contenders for being ‘selfish’. According to them, the Minority Leader who has been in parliament since 1996 should also allow others to rule the constituency. He responded that a tried and tested Lionel Messi should not be eliminated for Don Bortey.
