Angelina Jolie and her husband-Brad Pitt’s estimate worth is $425 million—almost half a billion dollars and yet they decided to fly Economy over the weekend with their 6 children in France, which made headlines. Perhaps, it was a PR stunt but let’s make a case out of it by questioning the need for our ‘broke’ Ghanaian celebrities to squeeze into Business and First class any time they fly.
I wouldn’t want to say I am good friends with all the Ghanaian Celebrities but offline, I do have a good relationship with a huge number of them—and we talk about a lot, including their struggles. So if I tell you that, more than half of these celebrities who parade ‘glamour’ and expensive lifestyle are literally BROKE, you can decide to believe me or just continue to buy into their hogwash.
Some of these celebrities have not had a good movie role in a long time—and those who are constantly on our screens are not even paid much (that is for those who get paid something). When it comes to those on TV, they are the worst, because most are in huge debt—they have to pay the TV stations to be on there…
But on social media, these celebrities continue to flaunt first and business class travels—when they owe rents and some have to ‘borrow’ money to purchase these tickets. For those who may be flying to meet a man for a 2 night banging session, they may have their tickets paid for as part of the not-so-surprising transaction. So take those moments out of the equation if you want…
When it comes to the men, they are dying—some struggle to afford decent 3 square meals a day but on social media, they ‘ball’ like Floyd Mayweather…
What’s the sense in tangling a rope around your neck so that others will accord you some ‘big man or big girl’ status—when in reality, you are struggling?
I’ve asked one of these celebrities this—and her answer was; I don’t even know why I do it but you are pushed by the industry to live a certain life.
A lot of our Ghanaian Celebrities fly economy too but they hide it; and this sums up the case that, they sort of feel too big to fly what they can truly afford.
Even though Anglina Jolie and Brad Pitt can afford a private jet, they didn’t go into hiding because they were flying economy—in fact, they were full of smiles.
As Ghanaians, we love to live beyond our means and our ‘broke’ celebrities reflect this ‘culture.’ The next time you don’t see an instragram photo of a Ghanaian celebrity in a Business or First class and all of a sudden the person appears in London or New York—know that, he or she probably flew economy and was hiding.
Ghanaian celebs like to show off and they will die to be able to do that.
“For those who may be flying to meet a man for a 2 night banging session,

transaction” …… lmao I was done after reading this line
