Atrocities committed by members of the Islamic State is nothing new anymore, but it doesn’t make the plight of those still suffering under their extreme religious vision any less grave.

A UN official who carried out special tours of refugee camps in Iraq and Syria came out with horrific tales of what’s happening to women in these war zones. It’s a list that’s as horrific as it is long.

On one occasion, they burned a 20 year old lady alive because she refused to carry out perveted sexual acts they required of her.

IB Times UK reports:

“Zainab Bangura, the United Nation’s special representative on sexual violence in war, recently conducted a tour of refugee camps in the midst of the conflicts in Syria and Iraq.

Bagura was presented with appalling stories from victims of sexual crimes and their families and told of them in an interview in the Middle East Eye, an independent regional newspaper, this week.

“They [IS] commit rape, sexual slavery, forced prostitution and other acts of extreme brutality. We heard one case of a 20-year-old girl who was burned alive because she refused to perform an extreme sex act. We learned of many other sadistic sexual acts. We struggled to understand the mentality of people who commit such crimes,” Bagura, said”

Of course they justify all these with the Quran. The faith that lets them suspend reason and commit all the atrocities they want, some which are much worse than the appalling list you just read.
