Opinions, they say, are like noses and as such, each and every one has one – including comedian Boxer Bukom Banku.
For the past 3 years, several Ghanaians have complained bitterly about the state of affairs of the country’s energy crisis. The unremitting power failure has caused many to call on the president to find a last solution to the problem.
On May 16, 2015, some Ghanaian celebrities led by actress Yvonne Nelson organized a #DumsorMustStop vigil which also functioned as a peaceful protest to demonstrate against an adamant dead-goat president.
Even though a cross-section of Ghanaians who were part of the #DumsorMustStop vigil expressed worry about the unscheduled and incessant blackout, Ghana’s undefeated boxer, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku shared a different view.
According to him, he likes ‘dumsor’, contrary to what some Ghanaians are saying. As to what pushed him to say so, Bukom Banku did not give details.
The comedian boxer who faked his own death some months back to gain some level of popularity was seen in a photo sitting on the boot of a car holding a placard with the inscription “I LIKE DUMSOR.” Considering the fact that I LOVE DUMSOR was inscribed in block letters, I assume Africa’s Mayweather – Bukom Banku – do really enjoy living in the dark to the core. Not just living in the dark but in heat too.
Speaking on Radio Gold Tuesday morning, Bukom Banku said Ghanaians should rather pray for the president.
“If something is wrong, let us pray. Let’s pray for the president and the problem will be solved once and for all. Why do you want to kill the president? All the celebrities go to demonstration to kill John Mahama. I will pray all the time and John Mahama will solve the light problem because he is our president. Demonstration cannot solve anything,” Bukom said.
He believes the protests will go a long way to distract the president to achieve his goals.

Donstration can not solve the problem but it has highlight the situation on a global scale which is and has cause an embarrassment to the president and his party. So yes the demonstration was a positive thing and not negative.
electricity is the backbone of the growth of every civilized economy and ghana at this time should have been better than this situation
