It’s social media so you cannot really trust these photos but we’ve been told it’s pretty authentic—a billboard was mounted in Accra to welcome the mayor-Alfred Oko Vanderpuije from a trip to Angola and the question is; whose money was used to pay for this billboard?
Of course, the reasonable person who comes to mind is the Taxpayer—the taxpayer must have paid for this and even if it is not from the pocket of the taxpayer, how necessary is this enterprise?
I will be excited if this is a hoax because it makes us look like people without priorities. School children do not have class rooms and study under tress. Our gutters are dirty and have become the rooms for diseases yet we are concerned with mounting billboards to welcome our mayor.
Imagine London has to mount a billboard to welcome Boris Johnson anytime he travels; this man travels like millions of times…They won’t even dare think about doing that with the tax payers’ money. They have better thinks to focus their minds on.
The Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije was selected for the Best African Mayor Award which took place on April 30, in Angola—so he attended.
Once again, can someone tell me this is a hoax? Oh Ghana!
what a stupid country made up of stupid leaders right from the president to the cleaner.
lol I love my Motherland
This shows that everybody is chopping the money anyhow….they probably borrowed 10.000 dollars for this “project” used 300ghcedis and put the rest in their pockets…. God is watching…
