By every stretch of ignorance, people including John Dumelo continue to wrongly throw out the adage ‘Rome was not built in a day’ in support of incompetence and deteriorating state of affairs…
Look, ‘Rome was not built in a day’ but it started in a day and the progress was visible—right from start. If a government has been given 4 years to fix issues they promised they would be able to fix and 3 years down the line, nothing has been fixed with hings getting worse—and we continue to employ ‘Rome was not built in a day’, then we are not serious.
Ghanaian actor-John Dumelo who campaigned for the NDC and President Mahama during the 2012 elections has stated in an interview with Starr FM that Ghanaians should get off the back of President Mahama and give him time to solve the challenges facing the country.
He said, “we should just give him [Mahama] time to solve the problems, the problems are there but it’s four years, Rome wasn’t built in a day… and if after 2016 the problems are not solved then we know what to do.”
If we cannot even see the building progress in 3 years, what makes him think, anything would be visible in the few months left to enter another election year?
The problem with many NDC sympathisers like John Dumelo is that, they cannot be truthful to themselves in relation to the state of affairs in Ghana.
Let’s take a look at the current power situation; when John Mahama and his NDC-government took charge of the country, how was the energy situation and how is it today? You cannot tell me, they are building Rome with what we are seeing…
In his interview, John Dumelo also said; I think a lot of people are putting pressure on him and it’s not as if he doesn’t want to solve the problems, he does so we should just give him time”.
“I actually lost some endorsements deals because I did something for the NDC. I don’t regret it at all,’ he added.
If you have 4 years to make an impact and 3 years go by without anything having been done, it’s certainly shocking people like John Dumelo think a miracle will happen in the last year.
This guy paa…
LOL
John said if Mahama doesn’t deliver then they will know what they will do….it’s simple. If Mahama doesn’t deliver, they will vote him out. U think Mahama wants to loose the 2016 elections? He will work his ass off to make sure the situation is recrified. U want to do coup to remove Mahama?
Mr John Kofi Dumelo…..although u r entitled to your opinion, in my view i think as an actor u should remain a ‘bit’ neutral…………..and not too forward
A lot of Hollywood actors donated huge sums of money to support Obama’s campaign. I don’t know why Ghanaian actors can’t campaign for the candidate of their choice. When it comes to politics, neutrality means cowardice. You are either for or against.
Yes Hollywood actors donated huge sums of money to support Obama but in our case is the other way around, our stars supports our candidates because of what they will get from them, they take money to campaign for them, take money to make music for them, even for them to go to world cup to support our players, they have to pay them and where is the money coming from? taxpayers money,so we have every right to criticize them when they say stupid stuffs
Kwasia, Rome wasn’t destroyed in one term
Very blunt but waka a waka. Medaase
U guys r forgetting something. .John knows Wat he gets wen he openly makes a statement to support dat dead goat president ..i bet he has received some ghc100000 before making this statement..else know one educated as John wld foolishly say rome wasn’t built in a day..kwasia like dat
on.instagram some weeks ago he (john dumelo) posted a pic of how he feels when d lights is on n d clock is ticking to six pm. I commented . That he used his influence to influence some Ghanaians who were easily swayed into voting for JM. What I want to put across here is that being a Ghanaian is really beginning to hurt cuz someone like john dumelo is still supporting administration cuz he benefited n continues to benefit up to this day . So his conscience has been compromised bought like d many Ghanaians I know who cant face n tell d truth. Its sad. Shame on you JOHN whatever and u might not see it now but posterity will judge you so hard. #hopeOtMakessense#emotions#
come to think of it ,that advert if anyone would remember was supposedly for peace and later that ndc screen showed up. He didn’t admit he was campaigning for ndc but for peace. Now he admits he campaigned . Cuz he also believes Ghanaians have short memory. Maybe he even did that research for him .
Well, I have personally stopped buying local movies to watch cause there is no light to watch and imagine if there are even 50 people like me out there who do same. Very soon Dumelo, you will start feeling the effects of dumsor in your pocket if you claim you haven’t already felt it.
