There are some legends of the past, national treasures whose contribution to our history is undoubted. One of these is Theodosiah Okoh, the designer of the Ghana national flag.
Unfortunately, Ms Okoh passed away yesterday April 19 in Accra. Aside her monumental contribution to the identity of Ghana as a nation, she was also an astute sports administrator who shared a unique love of hockey with our late President Mills.
She was one time chairman of the Ghana Hockey Association, and has the honour of having the national hockey pitch named after her.
Madam Okoh was 92 years old. May her soul rest in peace.
RIP Madam Theodosia
