Abducted YFm Presenter Out Of Sedation: Police Say She’s Been Kidnapped Five Times Previously

I’m trying and failing to fathom the kind of psychology required to carry out such an act of wanton cruelty. I really, really, hope these people are arrested and made to face harsh and swift justice.

However, details being released by the police themselves is making me feel there is something deeper going on that we’re not being told about.

Graphic run a report yesterday that the police intimated that this is the fifth time the same lady has gone missing within the last two years.

“District Police Commander DSP, Husseini Awinada told Graphiconline’s correspondent that they have not been able to get any statement from the victim as of now as she was still speechless.

He recalled that this is the fifth time within the last two years that the same victim had been reported kidnapped. He said in all those instances, the victim was unable to help the police to unravel the case.”

This raises a lot of questions. Was she sexually assaulted also any of the previous times? With someone like this, seemingly a serial victim, what kind of protection was she offered. How hard did the police work to find the perpetrators on each of the five, prior occasions?

Oh, and the clincher; the police apparently received intelligence she was going to be kidnapped again, sometime before it occurred. As to why she ended up being kidnapped despite the police being aware of it in advance remains a mystery.

There is something seriously amiss here.

Thankfully, reports indicate she’s out of sedation now. She should be able to tell police something today. I’m wishing with all my strength that those sick individuals be arrested and prosecuted.

Of course for that to happen, Ghana Police would need to operate on a level higher than what they’re normally accustomed to.
