Nigeria’s Don Jazzy Says ‘I Pity’ Charter House-Organisers of Ghana Music Awards | Find Out Why…

Nigeria’s Don Jazzy may be good and important but to be frank, he doesn’t deserve to be flown in Ghana for an award show with 10 other people—and this is exactly what Charter House, organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards did.

Perhaps, with his artiste-Tiwa Savage as a nominee (which she did not even win her category), the organizers of the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards contemplated and spoke to Don Jazzy about attending the awards in Ghana—but it didn’t happen.

And when a fan asked on twitter why Don Jazzy was not going to be at the awards’ show in Ghana on Saturday, he said the organizers could not fly his 10-member-crew to Ghana. He added that ‘I pity them’.

I thought the arguments and explanations have always been that this is an industry award and foreign artistes understand this better—but if Don Jazzy wants 10 people to be flown into Ghana with him and all cater for; it’s certainly not an industry event to such a person.

It’s good Charter House did not pay for such a trip even if he deems it a pity! So how many people did Yemi Alade and Patoranking bring to Ghana, all paid for by Charter House?
