The Black Stars have dropped from 24th to 26th in the latest FIFA rankings released by FIFA.
The Stars narrowly missed out on winning the top prize at AFCON 2015, and since then they’ve only engaged in two games; last month’s friendly games against Mali and Senegal.
Those games ended in a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 loss respectively, and consequently Ghana drops to 26th in the world, down two places from 24th in last month’s rankings.
Ghana is still the third top ranked side in Africa though, behind Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire.
On the world stage, world champions Germany are still top, ahead of world cup finalists Argentina. Belgium surges into the top five, seating third.
