Aggressive racism which some call ‘in your face’ racism seems to have been eradicated but what now exist is the subtle racism where if you are not careful, you would never know the race card is being played on your lap.

Though many media outlets have reported on the idea and hovering speculation that Idris Elba could be the next James Bond, a former James Bond-Roger Moore said it’s impossible—and his reason is that, Idris is not English-English.

In a recent interview with a French Magazine, Roger Moore questioned the English-ness of the Idris Elba and even insinuated that a Black man taking over the role would be “interesting” but still quite a stretch–this comes even after the sony leaked emails had discussions of Idris as the next perfect candidate.

Via MailOnline:

“A few years ago, I said that [black actor] Cuba Gooding Jnr would make an excellent Bond, but it was a joke!’ replies Sir Roger, 87, who starred in seven Bond movies between 1973 and 1985.

“Although James may have been played by a Scot, a Welshman and an Irishman, I think he should be “English-English”,” he continues.

“Nevertheless, it’s an interesting idea, but unrealistic.”

Social media went after Roger Moore for his comment—and many reminded him he is the worst James Bond ever, so he took to twitter to sort of try to run away from the racist loop…
