For those who are blinded by their love for God and religion, they may not be able to spot the nonsense being paraded in Ghana in the name of God—but ex president Jerry John Rawlings does not want to be part of those who cannot see beyond their noses.
Association of Nurses and Midwives in Ghana paid a courtesy call on the former president and his family, and during their conversation, J. J Rawlings said “Look at the corrupt nonsense that is even happening in the name of God: watch those things just to see how far we are degenerating as a people,” Mr Rawlings said when the Association of Nurses and Midwives paid a courtesy call on the former first family.
Even characters like Obasanjo of all people, instructed when he was in office that none of these things will be featured on TV unless it could be proven to be scientifically true…otherwise when you show it on TV, you are perpetuating the wrong.”
Rawlings asked; “…Are we crazy as a people?”
Shockingly, people continue to abandon their jobs at working hours in Ghana to attend several prayer meetings—and instead of making hard work a priority, we’ve become a nation of prayers on the wait for divine intervention.
On our various TV stations, it’s religion from morning to evening—and while others are investing heavily in science, we continue to invest all our time in religion.
The sad part of it all is that, apart from Rawlings and a few others who can see through the increasing religious nonsense in Ghana, most Ghanaians are in bed with the deceit—and woe unto you if you decide to challenge the status quo…
God and Religion have become the veil behind which corruption lives in Ghana—paving way for those playing the game, the pastors and those who have self-titled themselves-Bishops to confidently tap into the pockets of their followers…
On the political radar, politicians know of our fear of God and as such in the name of God and under His watch, they continue to take us for a fool—while we do nothing about it, except to leave it to God.
How long would we continue like this?
