5 Reasons Why Living in Europe Or America SUCKS | Yet A Lot of Africans Want to Come Over

3. The Alarm Clock ‘Heart Attack’ Syndrome

Until I moved to Europe some years ago, I did not have any need for the alarm functionality on my phone—I hardly used it.  Out here, it’s my best friend and each night that is the last thing I kiss good night.

No matter how early you sleep, you cannot escape the Alarm Clock Heart Attack Syndrome—which is; how high your heart jumps anytime the alarm sets off. It’s really terrifying; an indication that the hustle must begin.

Sometimes, you would wake up a little early before my alarm sets off and that too makes you panic—because you begin to feel your alarm went off and you did not probably hear it. It’s really panicking; a clear indication that you are screwed if you actually missed your alarm.

Even on your off days from work, you will still have to set your alarm because that is the day you have 101 things to do and the earlier you start, the better.  Once again, since the transport systems have effective time slots, you cannot just wake up and do whatever, time must be respected even when on a frolic of your own.
