There is increasing tension between Ghanaians back home and those abroad—with those abroad saying their people back home continue to take them for granted for all that they do for them.
Beyond the ungratefulness constantly expressed by those abroad, they also feel those back home are lazy—and even when they are comfortable, they will still cunningly call you abroad to take your little money.
It gets worse when you ask those back home to do something for you—like build a house for you or take care of your business. According to those abroad, the people back home will spend your money and present you with an empty box.
Courtesy of Whatsapp, there have been several exchanges by countless Ghanaians (those home and abroad)—and today, we bring you one of such audio messages.
Listen to the audio below and tell us what you think!

Dangggg she went in!!!! I don’t blame her tho its true.
I totally agree but she might want to be more careful with her choice of words as a grown up. Anyway, back to the topic. Ghanaians back home are without a doubt having life much easier than those abroad. They enjoy lawlessness, laziness, corruption and at the end of the day shift all the blame on the government for their plights. If the lazy populace of Ghana are unappreciative of the efforts and input of the governing body how much more unappreciative will they be of those in the diaspora? We are blessed with such a beautiful country and abundant natural resources but with an archaic mindset, lazy and dependent attitude why wouldn’t we suffer and be growing poorer? Ghana would be the best place to live on earth only if we would change our hypocritical lifestyles and lazy attitudes for the better.
This is so true but very sad, and it’s the reality…some Ghanaians back home need to re-evaluate their lives.
Ghanaians learn how to use technology small then use it insult each other left and right lmao
Haha apart from the choice of words,I think she is been truthful.since my Dad s generation till now,it has always been the pals back home not helping,dishonesty,greediness…..In my own family I have examples, computers, phones, cars, bicycles…am not talking about one or two, containers all vanishing with no better accounts and explanations.I can relate, she sounded angry.I wouldn’t say everyone is like that but most people around me.The most annoying one is the I am giving birth for you guys and naming them after those abroad.its very true,my own maternal uncle, who has no job and no form of income and his young mistress are culprits.Actually apart from some students studying abroad and getting some monies from back home,I don’t remember the last time I heard anyone talk about western union from Ghana, haha because I think the last time I checked you can’t make western union from Ghana,if there’s any need for it you may need to go to our neighbor Togo.I stand to be corrected, since it was a long time I checked.
