The BBC reports it got missing two hours into a three hour flight.

AirAsia has never lost a plane, but everyone vividly remembers the cases of Malasyian airlines, which has suffered two of such incidents just within the past year.

Indonesian military planes are reported to be carrying out a rigorous search for the missing airline.

It was flying from the Indonesian city of Surubaya to Singapore, and the pilot had requested a ‘flight deviation’ due to bad weather.
