Hiplife musician, Kwaw Kese aka Abodam was to appear at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Circuit Court TODAY for the fourth hearing of an alleged case brought against him for smoking a substance suspected to be cannabis in public but the case has been adjourned to tomorrow 23rd Dec, 2014.

The “Nonsense” hitmaker has been remanded into prison custody for a little over a month after he was arrested for allegedly smoking cannabis at Kumasi. This would have been his fourth court appearance since his arrest on Saturday, November 22.

Today, 22nd Dec, 2014, when the court sat on the case, Kwaw was nowhere to be found. His counsel told the court that his client, Kwaw is seriously sick. The judge thus had no option but to adjourn the case. The whole seating lasted less than 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, reports have it that the substance Kwaw smoked has been tested by the police. After the test, it came out that the substance he was caught seriously puffing, is actually weed. The police would have therefore presented their exhibit before the court but due to his health issues, the prosecutors may have to do so tomorrow.

Previous attempts to get the court to grant him bail has failed because narcotics cases are non-bailable. His colleagues in the music industry have been pleading with the authorities to deal leniently with him while others are campaigning for his release.

Meanwhile, Kwaw Kese has begun a massive campaign against the use of narcotic drugs by the youth while in prison. Keep reading for updates on what tomorrow brings on Kwaw’s fate – as we also wish him speedy recovery and a good luck in this trial. Until then…MOTWUM!!
