Before we look at Sonnie Badu’s call for mercy for Kwaw Kese who is currently in police cells awaiting trial—let me state once again that, the ignorance of Sonnie Badu and the many others has greatly contributed to Kwaw’s remand.

These people will little or no knowledge of the law have to SHUP the F**K Up on social media—because, they do not even know what they are talking about…

Ghanaian gospel musician-Sonnie Bandu posted the below message on instagram, asking for forgiveness for Kwaw Kese.

“I am pleading with the authorities to please have mercy on our brother .. Please please please a heavy fine will be well understood, but treating him like an armed robber is just not right , please have mercy on him.. Yes he was wrong , but please don’t treat him like a criminal .. what is MUSIGA doing? do we have to go see Asantehene? It’s been a bad year for Kwaw, from his manager been murdered and all that #HAVEMERCY”

In his message, he states that Kwaw Kese is being treated like a criminal—this clearly shows that, Sonnie may be drinking a lot of that thick ignorant kool-aid each night.

Who is a criminal in Ghana? A person who commits any crime on the statute book, including smoking of weed—so what his Sonnie saying about Kwaw being treated like a criminal? You really expect a judge to take this comment into consideration?

The many social media ignorant talk is not helping matters and I don’t know why each day, we get many of these uninformed celebrities not just parading their ignorance but making Kwaw Kese’s situation worse with their utterances.

And what has Asantehene got to do with this?

We all want to see the law in action but wish that the lenient arm of the law comes to play in this case—however, some of us just have to shut up.
