Forbes just released their list of highest paid musicians in the calendar year 2014, and not surprisingly rapper and business mogul Dr Dre tops the list by quite a margin.
What might be a little surprisingly is that the erstwhile Beats owner made a whopping $500 million dollars more than any other musician within the year in review, largely thanks to the sale of the same Beats brand to Apple for $3 billion.
Beyonce came in second, making $115 million. This is her biggest haul yet according to Forbes, yet that pales in significance to Dre’s haul.
Justin Bieber and One Direction were the only artists under 30 years to crack the top ten, earning $80m and $70m to finish 6th and 7th respectively.
